Plumbing · New Jersey

The plumbing behind every great bathroom and kitchen.

As the plumbing contractor NJ homeowners bring in with their remodel, we plan the pipes, drains and fixtures together with the tile, cabinets and walls they hide behind, so the water goes where it should and the finish work never has to be torn back open.

What we do

Plumbing contractor NJ remodels are built around.

Most plumbing problems in a remodel start at the planning table: a vanity drain that lands on a floor joist, a shower valve set at the wrong height for the tile, a new island with no way to vent the sink. We look at plumbing first, because it decides where everything else can go.

That's why our plumbing work sits inside the same plan as the rest of the project. One team schedules the rough-in, the inspection, the waterproofing and the tile, so nothing gets set before the pipes behind it are right.

01

Bathroom plumbing

New shower valves, curbless drains, tub moves, double vanities and toilet relocations.

02

Kitchen plumbing

Moving the sink, adding an island prep sink, dishwasher, ice maker and pot filler lines.

03

Rough-in for new space

Supply, drain and vent lines for basement baths, laundry rooms and home additions.

04

Fixture upgrades

Smart toilets, wall-mount faucets, rain heads, freestanding tubs and new shutoffs.

05

Water heaters

Replacing tired tanks or planning a tankless unit when a remodel adds a bath.

06

Leaks & pipe repair

Finding the source, replacing the damaged pipe and rebuilding the wall or ceiling after.

Behind the walls

The part you never see is the part that has to be perfect.

Once tile goes up, the plumbing behind it is out of reach. So we treat the open-wall stage as the most important day of the job. Valves are set to the finished wall depth, drains are pitched correctly, every connection is pressure-tested, and the town inspector signs off before a single board of drywall goes on.

Then the shower is waterproofed with a full membrane system, not just a coat of paint on cement board. It's the same approach you'll see on our bathroom remodeling and tile installation projects, and it's why a shower we build doesn't come back as a ceiling stain downstairs.

  3. 03New lines

    Supply, drain, vent.

New lines are run, valves are set to the finished wall depth and drains are pitched. Everything is pressure-tested, then inspected by your town before we move on.

    Waterproofing and tile.

Showers get a full waterproofing membrane and a flood test before tile. Walls and floors are finished by the same crew, so trim plates and drains line up with the tile instead of being cut in after.

Permits & licensing

Plumbing in New Jersey is licensed, permitted work. We do it that way.

New Jersey requires plumbing to be done under a licensed master plumber, with a plumbing permit and inspections through your town's construction office under the Uniform Construction Code. Unpermitted plumbing can stall a home sale and void insurance claims when something leaks.

As a plumbing contractor NJ homeowners hire for remodels, we keep the plumbing permit and inspections in the schedule from day one, alongside the electrical and building permits. You can look up any plumber's license with the NJ State Board of Examiners of Master Plumbers, and our home improvement registration, HIC #13VH09293400, with the NJ Division of Consumer Affairs. More on our coverage is on the licensed & insured page.

Leaks & water damage

When a pipe lets go, we fix the pipe and everything it soaked.

A burst supply line or a slow leak behind a vanity rarely stops at the pipe. Drywall, subfloor, insulation and the ceiling below can all take on water. Because we're a restoration company as well as a plumbing contractor, NJ homeowners get one team for the whole job: stop the leak, dry the structure, check for mold and rebuild the room.

If water is coming through right now, shut off the main valve and call (732) 759-0765. Then see how we handle water damage restoration, mold remediation and sewage cleanup after a backup.

Questions

Plumbing FAQ.

Do I need a plumbing permit to remodel a bathroom in New Jersey?

If you're moving or adding fixtures, replacing a water heater or changing supply, drain or vent lines, yes. New Jersey towns issue plumbing permits under the Uniform Construction Code, and the rough-in has to pass inspection before the walls close. Swapping a faucet in place usually doesn't need one. We tell you at the estimate which parts of your project do.

What should I look for in a plumbing contractor in NJ?

Check that plumbing is done under a New Jersey licensed master plumber, that the contractor pulls permits, and that they carry insurance. For a remodel, it also helps when the same company handles the plumbing and the tile, cabinets and drywall, so the pieces are planned together.

Can you move my toilet, shower or kitchen sink?

Usually, yes. What it takes depends on which way the floor joists run, where the main stack is and how the drain can be vented. We look at the access from below during the walkthrough and give you an honest read on cost before you commit to a new layout.

Should I replace old galvanized or polybutylene pipes during a remodel?

If the walls are already open, it's the cheapest time to do it. Galvanized steel corrodes from the inside and polybutylene is known for failing at the fittings. We'll show you what we find at demo and price the replacement as a separate line so you can decide.
